2018 Rock Hall inductions to say an in-person “hello” to Cleveland

The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame induction ceremonies will say “hello” to Cleveland once again next year, having not taken place in the city since 2015. Though the museum is actually in Cleveland, the induction ceremonies have only been held there five times in the past 30-odd years, with the Rock Hall board instead choosing to hold them in New York.

The 2018 ceremony—which will probably see Radiohead as one of the inductees— will take place April 14 at Cleveland’s Public Auditorium, and, in keeping with a 2016 decision made by the Rock Hall, will return to Cleveland every other year. The Hall is promising free Rock Hall admission around the 2018 ceremony, a dedication for the exhibit honoring the inductees, and “rock and roll themed events and activities at the Rock Hall and throughout” Cleveland.
