2Pac & B.I.G.’s wax reunion
On what would have been slain rapper, Tupac Shakur’s 39th birthday, East Coast and West Coast rap finally unite on wax… sort of. According to Allhiphop.com reports that beginning today and for the rest of the summer, Madame Tussauds’ Glamour Room in Washington D.C. will display the wax likenesses of Tupac Shakur and The Notorious B.I.G. together. Fittingly, Shakur’s figure normally resides in Las Vegas while Tussauds’ in D.C. is borrowing B.I.G. from its New York location. For the curators of the Glamour Room, the imagined reunion between ‘Pac and Biggie is a celebration of hip-hop culture. For those who remember that the murders of the two infamous rivals left their feud forever unresolved, the display could be yet another unnecessary reminder of a hip-hop tragedy.
