3 people shot outside Seattle music venue The Crocodile
A violent incident occurred outside the notable music venue The Crocodile in Seattle Thursday. According to Q13 FOX, gunfire wounded three people, two of whom were inside the club close to its windows. The shooting reportedly happened shortly before 11 p.m., and detective Mark Jamieson told the television station that the Seattle Police Department’s gang unit was investigating the incident. At the time of that interview, Jamieson said they were still searching for details on a potential suspect. The Seattle Times notes that the victims’ wounds didn’t appear to be fatal.
Per a cached page on its website, The Crocodile was playing host to an all-ages concert from A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. that evening. The Crocodile was named one of Rolling Stone’s best clubs in America in 2013, with the publication explaining that it “hosted every important band of the grunge era.” It closed in 2007 but reopened in 2009.
