Hi. And welcome to The A.V. Club live blog of the—what is it?—105th Academy Awards? I'm afraid entry one is a big "Aarrggh." Let me set the scene: This is taking place at my house where A.V. Club film critics Scott Tobias and Nathan Rabin have gathered to enjoy the big event (and my wireless connection.) There's meat in the slow cooker, chips in a bowl and… no satellite signal. We're getting slammed with snow here in Chicago and my usually reliable satellite service has decided it's all just too much. So we're staring at a blank screen right now, hence the "Aargh." With luck, the signal will resume soon or we'll be risking our lives to find some other place to get this done.
