6 out of 10 stiff Radiohead

The numbers are in–and according to ABC News, 62 percent of those who downloaded Radiohead's new pay-what-you-please album In Rainbows forked over exactly zilch for it. The remainder of the 1.2 million people who downloaded the album between Oct. 10 and Oct. 29 paid an average of $6, says digital research firm ComScore Inc. That comes out to a measly $2.28 per download–although Billboard's Jonathan Cohen estimates that Radiohead's regular royalty per disc is $2.50 to $3.
