90210's Jennie Garth and Luke Perry are not dating, you guys, they're just making a sitcom

The reunion of Beverly Hills 90210 stars Jennie Garth and Luke Perry to sell mediocre jeans may soon gets its sitcom analogue, as Rumor Fix reports that the erstwhile fictional lovers are currently shopping a multi-camera comedy to networks. The news has emerged primarily as a way to combat the recent rumors that Kelly and Dylan are in love for realsies, OMG, a report that threatened to rival those similar reports that David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson are living together for the most fervent adolescent fantasy wished into reality for '90s Fox viewers still clinging to their youth, possibly while considering making a Parker Lewis Can't Lose Tumblr.

Alas, Garth tells Rumor Fix that she and Perry are not in love, and this time it has nothing to do with when he let Andrea read his newspaper article first, because he obviously doesn't take her seriously. Instead, they've only been seen together because they're hoping to co-star in a half-hour comedy—which is either a promising development for fans of shows like Melissa And Joey, or a ploy to spare Shannen Doherty's feelings. No word yet on what the show would be about, though we'll go ahead and speculate that it concerns a woman who starts dating one of her dad's friends.
