A$AP Rocky’s new record arrives a week early

A$AP Rocky became the latest artist to adopt the surprise-record gimmick last night when he dropped his hotly anticipated sophomore effort, At.Long.Last.A$AP, a week before its scheduled June 2 release date. The Harlem native announced the news with a tweet that included a tribute to his friend and A$AP Mob founding member A$AP Yams, who died of an accidental overdose in January.

Rocky’s follow-up to his 2013 debut Long.Live.A$AP runs an impressive 18 tracks and features a number of guest spots from some pretty prominent names like Kanye West, M.I.A, Lil Wayne, Miguel, Rod Stewart, Mos Def, Schoolboy Q, and A$AP Yams, who shows up on the record’s closing track “Back Home.” Rocky celebrated the release with members of his A$AP crew last night at Milk Studios in Chelsea, where he played selections from the new record for the crowd and shared a hug with Yams’ mother.

At.Long.Last.A$AP is available for purchase on iTunes now and is currently streaming on Spotify.
