A bunch of major names just joined Jordan Peele's Twilight Zone

As we creep closer to the premiere of the Jordan Peele-helmed Twilight Zone reboot, the CBS All Access series has added a gaggle of impressive names to its roster, presumably one for each time they heard a resentful “I’m not shelling out a dime for another damn streaming service” in the wind. In short: John Cho, Jacob Tremblay, and Allison Tolman are set to join the 2019 revival, which Peele himself will host and narrate.

The announcement is the latest in a string favorable casting reveals, including Adam Scott, Kumail Nanjiani, and Sanaa Lathan. Scott will star in an adaptation of the classic original Zone episode, “Nightmare At 20,000 Feet,” while Cho, Tremblay, and Tolman are slated to take center stage for an episode titled “The Wunderkid”—which has no available plot details just yet, but if it turns out to be a supercut of Tremblay’s scene-stealing performance in Room, we wouldn’t be shocked.

The star-studded cast serves as just one potential pull for the anthology series. Peele’s flagship success Get Out showcased his more than capable grasp of horror/sci-fi storytelling, making this particular reboot one of the few that continues to stoke genuine curiosity. Combined with the steady name-dropping right up to the show’s premiere, it’ll surely encourage folks to free up a few dollars for monthly streaming access—or to maintain an awkward relationship with their ex for password-sharing privileges just a little while longer.
