Here’s what’s happening in the world of television for Sunday, May 12. All times are Eastern.

Top pick

Game Of Thrones (HBO, 9 p.m.) and Veep (HBO, 10:50 p.m., series finale) : An unexpected ambush led to the loss of both a dragon and Missandei—well, maybe it’s not so much the ambush that’s unexpected as the fact that no one bothered to check and see if maybe there was an ambush ahead. (Get it together, Tyrion.) Now the united forces of the North and the East face a foe more powerfully positioned than any of them had imagined.

Our newbies and experts reviews will be up just as soon as we check the Mailbag Of Thrones and update the dead pool—but the Sansa show isn’t the only game in town. We’re also bidding a fond goodbye to one of the great comedies of the century, Veep.

Kate Kulzick has her farewell recap as ready to fire as a giant dragon-killing crossbow.

Regular coverage

The Simpsons (Fox, 8 p.m.): 30th-season finale
Killing Eve (BBC America and AMC, 8 p.m.)
Supergirl (The CW, 8 p.m.)
Bob’s Burgers (Fox, 8:30 p.m.) ninth-season finale
Billions (Showtime, 9 p.m.)
Barry (HBO, 10:20 p.m.)
Lucifer (Netflix, ongoing): episodes nine and 10 (fourth-season finale)

Wild card

Now Apocalypse (Starz, 9p.m., first-season finale): It’s been a minute since we checked in with Gregg Araki’s sci-fi sex romp, and since (as of this writing) it has yet to be renewed, it might be our last opportunity. If you haven’t given it a shot and don’t have Starz, the network posted the first episode on YouTube, so give it a click (heads up: not safe for work, even a little).
