A Lego Brickumentary trailer: Jason Bateman talks seriously about toys
For those who haven’t noticed all the Lego stores, Lego playsets and video games, and The Lego Movie: Lego is kind of a big deal. Such a big deal, in fact, it’s got its very own documentary—or in the parlance of Lego, a Brickumentary.
Formerly titled Beyond The Brick: A Lego Brickumentary, the film looks at how Lego has been delighting children for decades, since Danish carpenter Ole Kirk Christiansen first created the toy building blocks in the 1930s. As Jason Bateman narrates, you’ll hear collectors and Lego construction artists explain their love for the colorful little bricks, all while showing off incredibly elaborate creations that will put to shame that Lego split-level ranch home you built in third grade.
Will there be enough of those cool Lego creations to justify watching what is arguably a feature-length Lego commercial? Find out when A Lego Brickumentary snaps into theaters and attaches to iTunes on July 31.
