A life-sized model of Julian Casablancas tries to emote in the new Daft Punk video

Daft Punk’s new video for “Instant Crush” might not actually star the helmet-clad French duo, but it does feature a doll-like version of The Strokes’ Julian Casablancas. The real Casablancas is in the clip, too, but it’s more fun to watch the doll version try to emote than it is to watch the real one sing.

Daft Punk’s Random Access Memories came out earlier this year, and landed at no. 11 on The A.V. Club’s list of the best albums of 2013.
