A man’s teenage arguments with his parents, animated
Teenage readers take heart: It’s possible that one day all of the hassling and naysaying of parents will end. That may be the lesson of the animation put out by Mike Cohen and Rod Perry. When he was a teenager, Cohen started secretly recording his parents’ rants against his clutter, his love of music, and the other accoutrements of being a music nerd. Cohen apparently made his music dreams come true, but not before sitting through endless tirades from his conservative father and mother. Now Cohen has given those recordings to Rodd Perry to animate in a hilarious cartoon that shows one of those clashes between generations where Cohen is forced to prove his cluttered room has a system and his life has a direction, even if his parents don’t believe it.
