A new Vince Staples record is coming out today

Vince Staples announced earlier this week that he’d be releasing a surprise LP this Friday, but Pitchfork is reporting it’ll be out a little sooner—as in, sometime today. The new FM! features production from the chaotic Kenny Beats and, per Staples’ always-delightful Twitter account, a handful of exciting guests:

As for subject matter, well, we will once again hand the mic to Staples:

He says the new record is dedicated to his “biggest fan and supporter since day one,” linking to a picture of … himself. That same post suggests the record will be out at 9 p.m. “Poppy time,” a reference to his home street in Long Beach, California, meaning it’d be out at midnight EST.

Staples’ last project was the weirdly conceptual troll-job “Get The Fuck Off My Dick,” which came accompanied with a GoFundMe campaign to raise money for his early retirement. It raised a couple thousand bucks, which he matched and donated to the Michelle Obama library. His last full-length was the laser-precise electro assault Big Fish Theory, which we named the #9 album of 2017. Staples has set an incredibly high standard for himself over the past few years; here’s hoping the new record keeps it going.

The album art, again per Pitchfork, is below:
