A plan so crazy, it just might save Friday Night Lights

Variety reports that NBC is talking to other networks about doing multiple broadcast nights for its critically adored but ratings deficient drama Friday Night Lights. Actually, the plan isn't really that crazy. NBC currently does the same thing for Law & Order: Criminal Intent. New episodes of CI actually premiere on USA Network and air on NBC a few months later, and the show does well on both channels. NBC has talked to the CW, Comcast Entertainment Networks (E!/G4) and TNT about sharing Friday Night Lights. Sit tight, football fans. There could be a fourth-quarter comeback coming your way.
