A Quiet Place's Oscar-nominated sound editors explain the importance of sound design in film

It’s safe to say that A Quiet Place wouldn’t work without the excellent sound design from supervising sound editors Erik Aadahl and Ethan Van der Ryn. The two have been working together for over a decade, sharing a pair of Oscar nominations for their sound editing work on Argo and Transformers: Dark of the Moon, and as of this Tuesday, they’ve earned their third for their work on A Quiet Place as well.
