A third Lance Armstrong movie joins the totally clean and rule-abiding race to theaters

As nothing drives a Lance Armstrong movie like good, healthy competition and certainly nothing else, there are now three Lance Armstrong biopics vying to be first across the finish line, then tell everyone for years thereafter how they got there legally and claim they're being persecuted. Deadline reports that Ben Foster is set to play the disgraced cyclist in an as-yet-untitled film from Dangerous Liaisons director Stephen Frears and Trainspotting screenwriter John Hodge, combining the former’s adeptness with characters hiding a manipulative cunningness behind a mask of moral righteousness, with the latter’s familiarity with people sticking needles in themselves. Production is slated to start in the fall, which means it could pull ahead of both the proposed J.J. Abrams-produced Armstrong biopic and the one from director Jay Roach and Scott Z. Burns, thus winning totally fairly and squarely. And also by doing lots of drugs, as all us winners do.
