A.V. Club contributor Claire Zulkey publishes first novel
We'd be more ashamed of promoting our contributors' work around here if, goshdarnit, we weren't so proud of them. The latest A.V. Club writer to do something awesome: T.V. Club regular Claire Zulkey. And what's she done? Why, this:
That's An Off Year, a young-adult novel (but grown-ups can read it too) about what happens when a promising young woman decides she wants nothing to happen for a while. Obviously, we can't review this book. But that doesn't mean others haven't. In fact, Time Out Chicago called it "a cautionary tale, lightweight but sharply written" and said it "will make for a nicely double-edged graduation present." Or, you know, Christmas present, since that's a lot sooner, right?
