The erstwhile Hank Schrader told the Associated Press he doesn’t want to return to the role that made him famous, as a well as a meme where he takes a shit.
“I think that experience was that experience. I’m not a big fan of kind of revisiting something that has already been done,” Norris said—and if that sort of seems like a dig at Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould for doing exactly that, consider that he also said of his new bosses at CBS’ Under The Dome, “I don’t think they’ll let me do a little cable show.” So really, you just have to put his comments in the perspective of someone who’s moved on to more culturally important endeavors, like Under The Dome. It’s also possible Norris was simply being tongue-in-cheek: “But I think it’s going to be awesome. So I can’t wait to see it,” he concluded of this little cable show of which he otherwise wants no part.
But while we may never see Dean Norris leaving his integrity dome and pretending to be a younger Hank, Aaron Paul says he’s in “serious talks” with Gilligan about the idea of “jumping into the skin of Jesse Pinkman again in his lighter days,” and into the more carefree hoodies he wore back when cooking meth was just a lark. “Anything Vince is involved with, I'm there. I owe him my entire career,” Paul said, in the parlance of a true addict.
