After a disappointing season of All Stars, the new season of RuPaul’s Drag Race is off to a promising start thanks to an exhilarating premiere. There are plenty of things to be excited about in the new season, not least of which is the roster of guest judges, which includes Oscar nominees Kumail Nanjiani and Emily V. Gordon, Billy Eichner, Top Chef’s Padma Lakshmi, Lizzo, and Broad City stars Ilana Glazer and Abbi Jacobson. At the SXSW premiere for her film 6 Balloons, Jacobson talked about the experience of judging Drag Race.
