ABC has issued a fourth-season renewal to police procedural series Rookie Blue, rewarding it for—much like the country of Canada where it is produced—mostly coexisting pleasantly and not making too much of a stir. As suggested by its title, the series follows the lives of a team of young people who form a crime-solving blues band, though this does nothing to combat their deep feelings of ennui. Just kidding: They fight criminals and their feelings for each other, and they'll still be rookies at it for another year, apparently, in those hot summer months when you just want to see some people hook up with and occasionally arrest other people without all the fuss.
