Good news for fans of LMDs, Ghost Riders, mad scientists, and Clark Gregg’s sardonic reactions to all of the above: ABC has announced that it’s renewing Marvel’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. for a fifth season. That’s according to The Hollywood Reporter, which notes that the action-adventure series will be looking to trim budgetary costs as it heads into its robot-battling sci-fi future.
The renewal means that ABC’s next season of TV will once again have two Marvel-based series on its roster; just last week, the network released the not-entirely inspiring first images of its new comic book drama Inhumans.
