Since those who love the British royals are insatiable, ABC is planning a documentary about Princess Diana that’s set to air in August, according to The Hollywood Reporter. People magazine is working with ABC on the four-part special, which is timed to the 20th anniversary of Princess Diana’s death. It will air over the course of two nights, and feature interviews with experts as well as footage of her life. “Our special will honor her memory and all the good that she did in her tragically brief life,” ABC Senior VP Robert Mills said in a statement. “Our partners at People are perfect to tell this story as they’ve extensively covered her life throughout the years.” This should tide devotees over until The Crown finally reaches the Diana years.
