From Hollywood Insider: ABC has picked up a new series for the fall titled No Ordinary Family, a drama that will follow the trials and tribulations of a family that suddenly acquires superpowers. The Shield's Michael Chiklis—who already has some superhero experience as Fantastic Four's The Thing—will play the dad opposite Dexter's Julie Benz (who earned some geek credentials herself as Darla in Buffy and Angel). If this idea sounds a bit like a mashup of Heroes and The Impossibles, go right ahead and add a little Lost into the mix; according to SuperHeroHype, the family gains their mysterious powers after surviving a plane crash in the Amazon.
