Amidst all the changes ABC made to its schedule yesterday, canceling half a dozen of its shows and announcing several new ones to take their place, a few series seemed to be left off of this grand TV merry-go-round. Most notably, the network was cagey about two of its more critically appreciated comedies: freshman series Speechless, and third-season sitcom Fresh Off The Boat.
But fans of either series need wait no longer for their happy news: Both shows will be returning for the Fall 2017 season. Variety reported the news for FOTB, while star Minnie Driver made the Speechless announcement via Twitter.
