ABC’s Forever will go on forever (or at least a full season)
As reported by Deadline, ABC has given a full season order to Forever, its supernatural-ish drama about a guy who can’t be killed. Well, that makes it sound a little too supernatural-ish, actually. We’re talking about ABC, not Syfy, so before anyone gets scared off we should clarify that it’s a procedural about a medical examiner and a detective who solve mysteries, and it just so happens that one of them lives forever. See, that’s not so bad. At least it’s not based on a comic book. Forever will be getting an additional nine episodes, thanks to some evidently impressive DVR ratings that make up for the “so-so” numbers it gets on the day it airs. The series stars Ioan Gruffudd as Dr. Henry Morgan, the immortal, and Law & Order‘s Alana de la Garza plays Jo Martinez, the detective. Since ABC just cancelled Selfie, maybe Karen Gillan can jump over to Forever and become some sort of companion for Gruffudd’s immortal doctor. It seems like she’d be good at that, for some reason.
