AllHipHop.com is reporting that the producers of Wife Swap want "hip-hop families" to participate in the show's new season. Word of the search has been slowly circulating among sites aimed at hip-hop fans and/or black readers for the last few days. Soundslam has contact information for interested candidates, as well as a few sample questions from the casting folks:
Do you or all of your family members live a hip hop lifestyle? Do you embody the hip hop style in everything from your music and wardrobe to your career choice? Is freedom of expression important to you and your children? Could you teach another family a thing or two about the hip hop culture??
And can you get passive-aggressive when said family brushes off your teachings? No word yet on a parallel search for repressive, hip-hop-hating families, but those seem to be naturally drawn to the show anyway.
