AC/DC + Wal-Mart = match made in heaven
Wicked rockers like AC/DC are supposed to stick it to The Man, not give him a reacharound. But AC/DC's decision to make their A.V. Club-endorsed new album Black Ice available only at the retail giant/union buster was a rousing success. The disc sold a whopping 784,000 copies, kicking the crap out of those High School Musical brats. Hell's bells, that's a lot of records to sell at this point in history. It's got me wondering, though: Does Wal-Mart stock Dirty Deeds, and if they do, do they censor the words "Big Balls" on the back? (You'll recall that Nirvana's "Rape Me" was listed as "Waif Me" on Wal-Mart's copies…)
I can't tell from the web site, but I did discover that there's a Wal-Mart exclusive AC/DC Rock Band track pack coming out on Nov. 16. I would play the crap out of that.
