According to his shopping habits, Hugh Jackman is in X-Men: Apocalypse
Nobody likes to talk about whether or not Hugh Jackman is doing another X-Men or Wolverine movie as much as Hugh Jackman (well, Jackman and those of us at The A.V. Club, we guess). In the lead-up to last year’s X-Men: Days Of Future Past, the actor tried to brace audiences for diminishing Jackman returns on any future Wolverine films. Then, just three months ago, the rascal—that is, Wolverine—shared a picture of his claws on Instagram with the caption “ONE LAST TIME. HJ.” The message was somewhat cryptic—he could have been talking about his last performance as Wolverine ever, or just in the X-Men franchise, or just at kids’ birthday parties.
Well, we now have a bit of an update on the potential shirtlessness factor of X-Men: Apocalypse. It’s from an unlikely source—namely, Kika NY, a leather-goods maker in Brooklyn, who recently bragged on Instagram about an order from Jackman for a custom duffel bag that he’d need on the X-Men movie set in Montreal. The weeks-old post, which has been deleted, was apparently enough to get everyone reporting that Jackman would indeed set off on another Logan’s run. Kika did get the location right but, as much as we’d like to see Jackman reprise the role, they might have wanted to hold off on confirming anything until he ordered a leather codpiece or something, since the film is set in the past.
