Actually, Dayo Okeniyi will be in Terminator: Genesis instead of John Boyega

It was recently reported that Attack The Block star John Boyega was practically a lock to have a major role in Terminator: Genesis, provided he wasn’t cast in the new Star Wars sequels. But now, as is so often the case in Terminator movies, the future has been rewritten—almost as if an evil robot were sent back in time to make sure Boyega didn’t get the part, because it’s somehow relevant to a crazy sci-fi war in the future. Or maybe the Terminator: Genesis people decided they didn’t want to keep waiting around until they knew for sure whether Boyega was available.

Either way, as reported by Variety, The Hunger Games’ Dayo Okeniyi has now been cast in Terminator: Genesis as the son of Terminator 2’s Miles Dyson, the scientist who kinda-sorta causes Judgment Day. Barring any other time travel incidents or Star Wars casting rumors, Game Of Thrones’ Emilia Clarke is still set to play Sarah Connor, with A Good Day To Die Hard’s Jai Courtney as the father of her son, Kyle Reese, and Jason Clarke playing said son, John Connor, despite the fact that he’s older than both of his parents. That’s time travel for ya.
