Here’s what’s happening in the world of television for Thursday, May 9. All times are Eastern.

Top pick

The Twilight Zone (CBS All Access, 3:01 a.m.): A romantic meteor shower becomes somewhat less romantic when a meteorite begins to spread an infection throughout Annie’s (Taissa Farmiga) town. She and another woman (Rhea Seehorn) then notice something odd: The infection seems to be only affecting men.

The cast for this episode also includes Ike Barinholtz and Luke Kirby, who are men. But hey, they’re not all men. They are, in fact, only two men. Noel Murray will do his best not to generalize in his recap.

And hey, speaking of men—Terry Jeffords is about to take his lieutenant’s exam, so the fine people of Brooklyn Nine-Nine (NBC, 9 p.m.) decide to take his mind off things by bumping the Halloween Heist up from its usual date (October 31, naturally) to Cinco de Mayo. So if you’re curious about the identity of this year’s Ultimate Human/Genius, LaToya Ferguson is on the case.

Regular coverage

iZombie (The CW, 8 p.m.)
RuPaul’s Drag Race (VH1, 9 p.m.)
Better Things (FX, 10 p.m.)
Lucifer (Netflix, ongoing): Episodes three and four

Wild card

Klepper (Comedy Central, 10:30 p.m.): Former Daily Show correspondent (and host of The Opposition, R.I.P.) Jordan Klepper leads this new docuseries, which essentially functions as a series of 21-minute in-the-field segments. In the premiere, Klepper heads to San Antonio to meet with veterans who are dealing with PTSD through pro wrestling. Stay tuned for Dennis Perkins’ review.

An interesting topic and a decent improv-related self-inflicted burn make this one worth watching.
