Adam Baldwin, for one, is not so happy with today’s SCOTUS ruling
Now that we’ve covered how overwhelmingly happy Hollywood is about today’s Supreme Court ruling in favor of marriage equality, let’s turn to the darker reaches of Los Angeles. The place where people are less than thrilled with today’s decision. We speak, of course, of Adam Baldwin Land. The Firefly and Chuck actor sounded off on Twitter about the landmark case, and to say he has a dissenting opinion would be putting it mildly:
SCOTUS Rules! There’s no need for POTUS or Congress anymore. #MenInBlack #Tyranny

Federalize All of the Things! SCOTUS should abolish the Bill of Rights. #ForPurposesOfFairness

Yes, couched in the language of states’ rights, Baldwin let fly with a flurry of invective against the ruling. Retweeting others’ anger and sarcasm, chiming in with his own sassy takedowns of the Supreme Court’s mandated role as interpreter of the law, he made his feelings quite clear:

To be fair, he also retweeted someone saying they supported the decision, but doesn’t believe the court has the right to rule on it—a sentiment which will surely be widely shared by the many people who finally have some equal protection under the law today. If only Baldwin could have a bigger hand in shaping national policy, we could all be a little better educated:
.@TheRickWilson A bigger crisis is that reading comprehension is a national crisis by design. #GovernmentEducationIsEvil

Or not.
