Adam Driver wouldn’t mind skipping the trailers for Star Wars: Episode VIII
Adam Driver would approve if Disney kept Star Wars: Episode VIII shrouded in secrecy until releasing it next year. There’s almost no way the studio will actually do this, but CinemaBlend asked Kylo Ren himself if he would approve of an unconventional release strategy in a somewhat leading question. Turns out, yes, he would be into it. “I think that’d be bold,“ Driver said. “I’d love it, yeah! Then no one would know anything. The less people know, I feel like, the more exciting… the more of an event it is.“
When we’ll actually get a look at whatever Rian Johnson’s installment of the new trilogy is called is still unclear. The first teaser for The Force Awakens dropped in November 2014, just about a year before the film came out. The initial look at Rogue One, out this weekend, came in April of this year. What we do know is that Episode VIII will arrive December 15, 2017.
