Adam McKay isn't sure if he'd classify Vice as a comedy

Out this Christmas, Vice, explores the story about how Dick Cheney (Christian Bale), a bureaucratic Washington insider, quietly became the most powerful man in the world as Vice-President to George W. Bush. Earlier this month, the film was nominated for the Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy, but director Adam McKay isn’t sure if he’d classify it as such. We spoke with McKay about Vice, and why he feels it’s kind of genre-less.
