Not to be outdone by today’s news that Prince may guest star on New Girl, yet definitely to be outdone by news that Prince may guest star on New Girl, E! reports that Brooklyn Nine-Nine will have its own no-longer-surprise cameo that same Super Bowl night in the form of Adam Sandler. Like the Prince report, details are both scant and unofficial, with E! saying only that Sandler “will be playing himself,” in one of the most redundant statements ever made regarding a latter-day Adam Sandler character. (Speculation that Adam Sandler might also wear a baseball cap and loose, shapeless clothing is also unconfirmed.) But we do know that, if you’ve been anxiously awaiting a That’s My Boy reunion for Andy Samberg and Adam Sandler, you’re in luck, because you’re either Andy Samberg or Adam Sandler and now you’ve made it happen.
