Rasputin’s Mecha-Glove is only in Hellboy for a couple of minutes tops. He activates it, pulls out the wee baby Hellboy, and that’s pretty much it. For some reason (admiration, jealousy, boredom?), Adam Savage of Mythbusters fame has replicated this little known prop in full, glorious detail, and the results are pretty amazing. The video goes into a ton of juicy detail about how the prop hand was magicked into existence, and is surprisingly easy to follow even without the years of prop making experience that the intro to Mythbusters will tell you that Adam has six to seven times on a Sunday afternoon.
