Adam Scott to find out what it’s like to make a TV show...about weed
In a move that will hopefully result in a few new stoner catchphrases because dear God, have we all beaten the Half Baked references to death, according to The Hollywood Reporter Adam Scott and his wife, former Jimmy Kimmel Live! and The Andy Milonakis Show producer Naomi Scott, have sold a show called Buds to NBC.
Although the title may imply a serialized depiction of the sensational real-life drama behind the Air Bud franchise, the show will actually be a comedy focusing on the day-to-day operations of a marijuana dispensary in Colorado. Scott’s Parks And Recreation colleague Joe Mande will write the script, and at least one episode focusing on a wacky mixup involving a school bake sale and red velvet cannabis cupcakes is expected. Scott previously proved his stoner bona fides by taking bong rips with Nick Offerman in a promotional video for their 2012 film Somebody Up There Likes Me.
