Adele expected to make full recovery after throat surgery
Adele is riding high with the runaway success of this year's biggest selling album, 21, but she's been kept off the road for much of 2011 due to vocal-cord issues. She appears to be in the process rectifying this, however, after undergoing successful vocal-cord microsurgery in Boston. Operating surgeon Dr. Steven Zeitels—who previously treated Aerosmith's Steven Tyler for a similar condition—employed special lasers to remove a benign polyp that had caused recurring hemorrhaging, or bleeding, on Adele's vocal cords. Her recovery is expected to last one or two months. [via Spin]
