Adele’s “Hello” is even more brilliant when it’s performed by the movies

Adele’s “Hello” from her smash hit album 25 has already been through quite a few permutations. First there was the Steve Aoki remix, and then there was her performance of the track with Jimmy Fallon and The Roots. And now there’s a new interpretation of the song, courtesy of a ton of film clips.

YouTube user Matthijs Vlot has assembled the lines from ”Hello” as said by some of the most famous characters in film, and also some rather infamous ones (sorry, Last Action Hero). It’s a fun version that strings together disparate worlds and characters to deliver the same plaintive lyrics for which Adele is known. It’s similar to the cut-ups of Obama performing “Thriller” or The Weeknd’s “I Can’t Feel My Face,” but encompasses a lot more droids and villains from bottom-level Batman movies.
