Childrens Hospital continues to yield actual spinoffs in addition to the myriad fake ones it's promised over the years, and while Locked In Doctorin' and Doctor Mole People Doctor still refuse to be real things, Adult Swim really has picked up a series based on the show-within-the-show Newsreaders to go with NTSF:SD:SUV. Production begins this summer on the newsmagazine that allowed a behind-the-scenes glimpse at Childrens Hospital while also asking the tough questions about whether "gray whales" were really just gay whales, and other examples of hard-hitting, heartwarming fake journalism. Fittingly, former Daily Show co-executive producer Jim Margolis will oversee the series alongside Rob Corddry, David Wain, and Jonathan Stern, using his experience with news both fake and real from his past tenure on 60 Minutes, which didn't have the guts to even touch the gay whales controversy.
