Aerosmith announces "Cocked, Locked, Ready To Rock Tour"
Bouncing back from a year that saw former drug buddies Steven Tyler and Joe Perry threatening to go their separate ways, Aerosmith has announced an 18-city summer tour that will kick off in Oakland, Calif. on July 23. The band has currently been playing shows in Europe and South America to, in the words of Tyler, help the frontman get his “mojo back” after taking a spill from the stage in August 2009 and subsequently losing his mojo under mountains of painkillers. Said mojo seems to have been located and properly appropriated, judging by the name of the upcoming “Cocked, Locked, Ready To Rock Tour,” which Tyler promises will “rock you into the middle of next week.” Those fellows certainly enjoy using the word “rock,” in all its various permutations. Here’s the confirmed lineup of tour dates; tickets for most shows go on sale June 4.
