Aerosmith’s Joey Kramer is now pushing a “Janie’s Got A Bun” sandwich

A lot of rock stars have their own restaurants. How else are they going to waste their money, flounder their cache, and build themselves a little clubhouse to (never) hang out in? And while we’ve already got Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville, Toby Keith’s now-floundering I Love This Bar & Grill, and Alice Cooper’s Cooper’stown, there’s still room in the mostly edible food market for another rockin’ hot spot. At least, that’s what Aerosmith drummer Joey Kramer hopes, having just announced his new eatery, The Rockin’ & Roastin’ Café & Restaurant. Opening this December in Maine, the Rockin’ & Roastin’ Café & Restaurant will be situated in the ski town of Newry and will offer entrees literally named “Janie’s Got A Bun” and “Livin’ On A Wedge,” because there’s nothing you want more when you’re done skiing than a wedge salad and some ill-advised gun references.

The café will also feature a coffeehouse, which will brew up Kramer’s already launched Rockin & Roastin’ line of coffees, which he started with help from Les Otten, the former vice chairman of the Boston Red Sox. And lest you think “What would Aerosmith’s drummer know about coffee,” the Rockin’ & Roastin’ page has you covered, noting that Kramer, “a coffee-lovin’ Rock ‘N’ Roll Hall Of Famer, has pounded the skins since his early teens fueled by love for music and spirited beans.”
