Hell On Wheels (AMC, 9 p.m.): Appropriate for Labor Day Eve, Bohannon tangles with a discontented workforce. Alasdair Wilkins holds up a “UNION” sign, and prays to not get punched in the face.
Copper (BBC America, 10 p.m.): Corky investigates a death by hanging, which assumedly will lead to an execution by hanging. Farihah Zaman’s checking A Brief History Of 19th Century Justice to confirm.
Weeds (Showtime, 10 p.m.): Will Silas sell his soul to Big Tobacco? If so, Myles McNutt would like to know if young Mr. Botwin will be paid in Camel Cash.
Web Therapy (Showtime, 10:30 p.m.): After burying the show’s second season on Monday nights, Showtime realized it has an under-appreciated gem on its hands and moved it to a spot after the network’s signature dramedy. Don’t throw all your Web Therapy questions at Brandon Nowalk at once, Weeds viewers.
WHAT ELSE IS ON?
The Chew (ABC, 7 p.m.): Who better than the stars of ABC’s celebrity-chef chatfest to synergistically introduce the network’s new fall lineup? It’s no weirder than tasking Balki and Cousin Larry with introducing a slate of Saturday-morning cartoons. Don’t be ridiculous!
TV’s Most Dynamic Duos (ABC, 9 p.m.): The end of summer must have ABC feeling nostalgic, because its reaching into a second dependable well of recycled content: This old-school, two-hour retrospective on great TV pairs, which will then run in a continuous loop in the screening room at the Paley Center for Media forever and ever, Amen.
Big Ang (VH1, 9 p.m.): Those who stuck with Mob Wives’ Angela “Big Ang” Raiola through 10 episodes are rewarded with… some kind of payoff. Maybe she [Exacts some sort of Walter White-style revenge that will only come back to bite her in the end]?
Small Town Security (AMC, 11 p.m.): Having proven it’s not a Christopher Guest mockumentary in disguise, the show you always stare at, slackjawed, for a full minute after the Breaking Bad credits roll, wraps its first season. Maybe we’ll stick around to see if the show gets more insane/exploitative after the cold open.
Strangers On A Train (TCM, 6 p.m.): Tips to live by from Alfred Hitchcock and Raymond Chandler: Be careful with whom you make morbid jokes about mutually solving problems through murder; don’t talk to strangers—especially on trains; maybe it’s best not to talk to anyone at all.
True Lies (Encore, 8 p.m.): Celebrate the Teamsters who did whatever Teamsters do (honestly, we’re too afraid to ask) to make this all-American slice of explosions, partial nudity, and Arnold Schwarzenegger one-liners possible. “It’s not a labor to enjoy such a union of great things,” Schwarzenegger says, in our heads.
MLB Baseball: White Sox at Tigers (ESPN2, 8 p.m.): Chicago has kept a comfortable lead on Detroit all season, but that could all change thanks to this, the first of two September series between the top two teams in the American League Central. Or, you know, the Sox could just end up putting more distance between themselves and the Tigers.
