Against all odds, The CW has finally canceled Beauty And The Beast
As reported by Deadline, The CW has assembled a pitchfork-carrying mob of disgruntled villagers to finally to stop Beauty And The Beast once and for all. Unfortunately, angry mobs are a very inefficient way to get rid of a TV show, so instead the network has simply decided to cancel the show once it finishes airing its upcoming fourth season. Interestingly, The CW picked up the show for that fourth season back in February, months before the third season had even aired. Now it has canceled the show before even announcing when the fourth season will air, though it seems pretty likely that the network will just dump it in the summer when there aren’t any superhero or vampire shows on.
Beauty And The Beast was a remake of the 1987 series of the same name, and it starred Kristin Kreuk as the eponymous beauty and Jay Ryan as a wretched, hair-covered beast-man (see above). If the end of the show is anything like the end of the Disney movie, we assuming it’ll involve the villain falling to his death without anyone really caring, and then the Beast and all of his furniture will turn back into people. It’s a tale as old as time.
