In a move that signals the cinema chain’s desire to become the nation’s neighborhood repertory theater, AMC Theatres has announced that it will follow last fall’s one-day-only Back To The Future re-release with a two-showtime engagement for the Zucker/Abrahams/Zucker classic, Airplane! Surely, we can’t be serious. Yes we’re serious—and don’t call us Shirley. (Wow, that pun doesn’t really translate to the written word.)
