Airplanes and automobiles could also have 3-D movies crammed into them

The immersive moviegoing experience that only a tiny screen wedged into the back of a seat can offer may soon get a long-needed upgrade, thanks to MasterImage 3-D. The Hollywood Reporter says that the company is currently talking with several airlines and automakers about bringing glasses-free 3-D projections to planes and automobiles within the next two years, thereby disorienting potential terrorists in the air and people with too much disposable income on the road, and thus saving the world. Of course, this may prove irritating to people who typically elect not to watch movies on airplanes, as they’ll now be unavoidably in your face. But that’s nothing a little midair freakout/bomb threat won’t solve.
