After six years on the CBS daytime chat show, Aisha Tyler has announced that she’s leaving The Talk. Co-hosts Sharon Osbourne, Sara Gilbert, Julie Chen, and Sheryl Underwood all bid preemptive farewells today to their long-time colleague, who’s leaving the show for a pretty simple reason: She’s fucking busy.
Tyler currently stars on Archer on FXX, plus CBS’s Criminal Minds, which she joined as a regular cast member for its most recent season. She also hosts Whose Line Is It Anyway for The CW, continues to work as a stand-up, and has recently moved into the world of directing. “I just realized I had to let something go,” Tyler said on today’s episode, speaking through tears that she’ll presumably dab away while on the way to one of her many other jobs.
