Alec Baldwin might be getting his own talk show on MSNBC
Believing that what Alec Baldwin could use is another avenue through which to share his unscripted opinions with the world, MSNBC is reportedly close to hiring him to anchor a new late-night talk show. Though far from a done deal, Mediaite nevertheless quotes an anonymous, “senior” source who “insists it’s a done deal,” so what do we know? MSNBC SENIORS RULE! Anyway, details are obviously scarce, though we do know the show would run weekly, every Friday at 10 p.m. ET, and “will feature a large dose of Baldwin’s outspoken liberal politics”—which have thus far been solely represented on Baldwin’s appearances on Lawrence O’Donnell’s The Last Word, his podcast Here’s The Thing, his on-and-off-and-on-again Twitter account, and nearly every single time he’s interviewed or approached on the street. However, here they will be delivered with an equally large dose of handsomeness. No word on whether this means Rachel Maddow will really have to change her haircut this time.
