The end of 30 Rock is nigh, meaning the show will soon be backing out of all our lives—but as we've seen time and again, nobody backs out on Alec Baldwin. He is the one who backs out, and so even though he spent the last couple years very publicly trying to back out of the show and, indeed, his entire acting career, now that 30 Rock is over, he's doing everything in his power to back out of its backing out. According to Baldwin, he even offered to let NBC cut his pay by 20 percent in order to get full seventh and eighth seasons of the show—an assertion backed up by Tina Fey in her recent Entertainment Weekly interview, when she said, "Now not a day goes by that he doesn’t go around to the crew and agitate for a season 8: 'You’ve gotta change your minds!' It’s like, 'It’s not really up to me—and also, no.'" If only Alec Baldwin could back out at super-speed around the Earth, reverse its rotation, and make it so. [via EW]
