Alicia Vikander might be going monster hunting for Ben Wheatley

Deadline reports that two rising Hollywood talents are coming together to stick it to some monsters, with news coming that Ben Wheatley and Alicia Vikander will soon be making a movie together. Wheatley—whose recent efforts include High-Rise and the upcoming guns-and-warehouse thriller Free Fire—is in the process of recruiting the Ex Machina star for his latest project.

Vikander is in talks to star in Freakshift, “an all-guns-blazing action thriller about a band of misfits who hunt down and kill nocturnal underground monsters” that somehow isn’t based on a comic book. Vikander—who recently starred in Matt Damon’s latest Jason Bourne movie, and opposite Michael Fassbender in The Light Between The Oceans—is currently filming on the new Tomb Raider, where she’s been honing her beast-slaying skills as video game heroine Lara Croft.
