All men must hurl after seeing this 360° video of the Game Of Thrones intro
While Game Of Thrones has gotten a lot of acclaim for its fancy-pants opening credits sequence, the series has been painfully slow in responding to the demands of people insisting upon looking wherever they want at that map. “Please, the enforced point of view of the camera lens is like visual slavery!” they cry, because these people are incredibly hyperbolic, too. But HBO has finally answered the prayers of those who wonder what that map looks like from every angle. The series just posted a 360-degree video to its Facebook page, one that lets you examine the crazy geometrics and inverted skylines of the show’s opening credits. The sensory experience is not unlike looking at a globe from the inside, but with pop-up diorama effects making it awesome. Feel like Aegon Targaryen riding a dragon as you soar around the sky above the seven kingdoms and beyond—but not beyond the known world, because some things should remain a mystery.
